With the economy suffering brides are looking more and more to cheaper wedding table centerpiece alternatives. However, even cutting cost, couples still want centerpieces that will get the attention and talk of all their guest.

Well, when you start deciding on your centerpiece remember this, at the end of the night you get to take home 15+ centerpieces from your wedding that you won't have any use for, except the good memories. But at the end of night you will often find many guests wanting and asking if they could take them home, so why not create centerpieces that your guest can take home. If you do this then you can choose or make centerpieces with pieces and then offer them as your favors at the end of the night. Can we say "killing two birds with one stone," or at least two large expenses of your wedding.

If this sounds like something you will want to do to cut cost on your wedding table centerpiece and favors, then lets go over some options that you have for these centerpieces.

A simple and inexpensive one would be favor boxes. Choose boxes that match your colors and will add color to tables. Then fill the boxes with some delicious tasty treat and decorate with ribbons and/or stickers. Then you could stack the boxes in unique designs to create your centerpiece. If you want to mix things up a bit you could even stack the boxes differently on each table, or have different colored boxes on each table.

If you find the boxes are a little to small or the tables a little to big then you can easily add a few inexpensive props to finish the look. You could add extra boxes and glue them together so the guests don't accidentally take them as favors. You could add doilies, candles or even a few leaves or rocks to table to make the centerpiece fuller.

Candles are always an inexpensive wedding table centerpiece and you can add little votive as favors to make the table look complete. Purchase 3-4 pillar candles for each table and then decorate with some ribbon. Then purchase enough votives for each guest to take home. Decorate the votive with ribbon and you could even print a little card to attach to it. arrange these on the table in a pleasing matter and then sprinkle sparkly confetti over the table to finish the look.

If you have more a little extra in you budget then you could purchase some little mesh bags for the candles and fill each baggie with confetti and a candle. Then if the bag doesn't have a pull tie, just tie a piece of ribbon around it.

One of my favorite wedding table centerpiece ideas is this, if you are having a beach themed party then a really easy way to make a brilliant centerpiece is to purchase some sand, shells, and if your budget permits glass bowls. Tie a little card to each shell thanking your guests for coming. Then fill the glass bowl with sand and place enough shells in the bowl for each guest. If your budget is tight and you can not afford the glass bowls then you can actually pour the sand right on the table and place the shells around the edge of the sand. Then if you'd like to add more, you could stick a bucket and shovel or little sand castle on the sand.

I wish you the best of luck on your special day and hope these wedding table centerpiece ideas will help you keep your wedding budget down so you can still afford that exciting honeymoon.
