As parents, we want to keep our children safe, but it is not an easy task. Children are so quick and active that all it takes is a split second before they are out of our sight. This can make them particularly vulnerable to attack from strangers, or greatly increase the chances of them becoming injured. Children are naturally inquisitive and do not yet possess the awareness to steer them away from trouble.

Luckily, there are special children’s alarms, such as an infrared system that detects motion, designed to make the parents’ job much easier, while providing some much needed peace of mind. Depending upon your needs, there are several wireless alarms options to help you ensure your child’s safety.

Monitoring Alarms :

These small wireless alarms devices sometimes come cleverly disguised as a child’s toy and can be clipped to the clothing. You can even hide them under a sweater or a jacket if you desire. The tracker is worn by the child, while the receiver is held by the parent. These wireless alarms have a variable range that can be set, and the alarm will sound if the child wanders beyond the parameters of the alarm. Many have variable, self-adjusting frequencies to allow for multiple child monitoring alarms within a given area.

Tracking Alarms :

Somewhat more advanced than the monitoring alarm, these wireless alarms allow for greater range as well. Simply place the tracking device on your child and set the desired perimeter of the alarm area. The parent carries the monitor, which allows the parent to see where the child is in relationship to the alarm perimeter. The alarm will activate if the child leaves the prescribed area, if the device is tampered with or removed from the child, or if the child depresses the panic button.

Pool Alarms :

Small, water resistant alarm devices can be used to monitor your unattended pool, and will emit a loud noise to warn you if your child or pet accidentally falls into the pool. These infrared systems that detect motion are unobtrusive and sit on the pool’s edge, with no wiring to install. Once activated, they cannot be turned off except with a special key, ensuring your child does not accidentally tamper with the device and render it ineffective. An infrared system that detects motion is the perfect complement to other pool safety devices, such as childproof covers and pool fencing.

Cabinet Alarms :

These magnetic door and window alarm devices easily install on doors and windows. They can double as intruder alarms, but are designed to warn you if your child opens a window or manages to get into a storage cabinet. A magnetic door and window alarm ensures your child’s safety by keeping him away from harmful chemicals or dangerous medications.

Personal safety alarms for children, such as ones that employ an ear piercing screecher, are excellent for parents who want to add a layer of security to their visit to the beach, theme park, mall, airport, or any other crowded area where there is a danger of the child wandering away. Small ear piercing screecher alarms that include a panic button ensure the child’s ability to draw attention and receive help, when without the alarm’s assistance they might otherwise be overlooked. Whether at home or away, your child’s safety can be ensured with the addition of a personal children’s alarm device, such as an ear piercing screecher, infrared system that detects motion, and a magnetic door and window alarm.
